Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Seeking talented individuals to join our team as a full time Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer. This individual will be a part of our QA team. What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Implementing and enhancing features on existing and new applications
  • Working on a tight knit team of developers, product, design and QA
  • Contributing to the larger development team effort to ensure a great cross-platform experience
  • Delivering quality results
  • Develop and document test plans and test cases from user stories and requirements
  • Hands on experience testing server based web application products, SOAP services, and applications
  • Review and recommend improvements of test plans
  • Perform regression and functional testing
  • Implement continuous Test Driven Design and testing automation
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks
  • Experience with agile methodology and software engineering best practices in an onshore-offshore model.
  • Report status of testing to appropriate teams
  • Must be able to set your own priorities, you will often be called upon to solve complex issues on your own
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Skills you have include:

  • 5-8 years of QA experience in a customer facing web software environment
  • Experience writing queries in SQL to validate data
  • Hands-on experience debugging server side web applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or related field(s), or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and use of open source tools such as SoapUI, Selenium, Cucumber, Canoe, etc
  • Hands-on experience working with database-intensive web applications using Java, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, and SQL.

Ideally, you have:

  • 5-8 years of QA experience in a customer facing web software environment
  • 1-3 years of experience working with and mentoring Jr. QA Engineers
  • Worked with a continuous integration approach
  • Experience in an Agile (scrum) development process
  • Experience writing multi-table queries in SQL
  • Prior experience implementing testing automation
